Shirley A. Jones
November 30, 1936 — January 23, 2014
Shirley A. Jones, 76, of Old Forge, died Thursday at Moses Taylor Hospital.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late James and Ann Pinko Dailey, she attended Scranton public schools. Before retiring, she was employed at Terry's Diner. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge.
Her greatest joy was being with her family. She also enjoyed cooking and the Home Shopping Network.
The family thanks Drs. Armando and Katie Sallavanti for the compassionate care given to Shirley.
Surviving are a daughter, Marianne Salerno, Old Forge; and three grandchildren, Robert, Kayla and Patrick.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Deborah Salerno.
The funeral will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. from the Louis V. Ciuccio Funeral Home, 145 Moosic Road, Old Forge, followed by a Mass at 10 at the Prince of Peace Parish at St. Mary's Church, 123 W. Grace St., Old Forge. Interment, Old Forge Cemetery.
