Sharon A. Shandra

Sharon A. Shandra, 79, of Old Forge, died Wednesday at Allied Services Hospice Center.

Born January 13, 1944, in Old Forge, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Regina Dziegielewski Ferentino.  Sharon was a graduate of Old Forge High School’s Class of 1962.  Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the Riverside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Taylor and also did private duty nursing.  She was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge.

Sharon was a devoted and loving mother and a helpful and hardworking nurse.  Sharon will be fondly remembered for her cheerfulness and kind personality.

Sharon is survived by her two sons, Angelo and wife Judith, Dickson City, Christopher, Old Forge, a brother, Thomas Ferentino and wife Lucille, Wyndam, NH, her companion, Robert Herron, nieces, and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects to Sharon on Monday from 4:00 – 6:15 p.m. at the Louis V. Ciuccio Funeral Home, 145 Moosic Road, Old Forge.  A funeral blessing service at 6:15 p.m. will be held at the funeral home to be celebrated by Rev. August Ricciardi, Pastor, Price of Peace Parish. Interment Old Forge Cemetery.
