Rosalie G. Serafin

Rosalie G. Serafin, 87, of Old Forge, died Sunday at home. She was the widow of the late Bernard Serafin, who died in 1967.

Born on December 30, 1938, in Old Forge, she was the daughter of the late Modesto and Grace Minella Bonfonte. She was a graduate of Old Forge High School’s Class of 1956. Rosalie was a bookkeeper for over 50 years and was previously employed at David H. Jones and Minella Pools Service. She was currently employed at W.R.C., Scranton. Rosalie was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge.

Rosalie loved spending time with her family. She cherished every moment with her daughter, granddaughter and her two great-grandchildren. They loving called her GG and this nickname became what everyone called her. She enjoyed going on vacation, watching her grandchildren in their activities, and spending time at the casino.

Rosalie is survived by her daughter, Karen Connors, Old Forge, granddaughter, Davina Sims and husband Mark, Warrior Run, two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Paisley, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Rosalie was preceded in death by a son in-law, Jack Connors.

To honor Rosalie, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the Prince of Peace Parish, 123 West Grace Street, Old Forge, to be celebrated by the Rev. Walter E. Jenkins CSC, Ed.D., Pastor. Interment Old Forge Cemetery.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects to Rosalie at the Louis V. Ciuccio Funeral Home on Thursday from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m.
