Robert D. Zaorski

Robert D. Zaorski, 59, of Madison Township, died Tuesday at Allied Services Hospice Center.  He was married to the former Kristin VanBrunt.  The couple celebrated their 27 ^th wedding anniversary.

Born on June 15, 1964, he was the son of Sharon Smith and the late Stanley Zaorski.  He attended North Pocono Christian Academy.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hollisterville.

He was the proud owner of Bob Zaorski Bulk Hauling, which brought about many lifelong friendships through the years.  Bob was a very generous man who made friends everywhere he went.  He was kind, thoughtful, loving, and could see the good in anyone. He loved teaching Sunday school at his church, spending time with his family, and feeding his animals, and of course acquiring and working on his many tractors and trucks.

Bob fought a courageous battle with cancer for eight long years.  Throughout that time, he never lost hope and even managed to inspire others. He touched just about every person he ever met.  His kids were his absolute pride and joy and was happiest watching them thrive.  There aren’t enough words to say how missed he will be, but we know he is rejoicing with Jesus evermore.

The family would like to give their sincerest thanks to the staff and nurses of both Allied Hospice and Geisinger’s Henry Cancer Center for their dedication and compassion throughout his journey.

Also surviving are a son, Robert Jr. and fiancée Carly Tallo, Throop, three daughters; Jillian and partner Tyler Sunday, Dunmore, Ivy Jane and Jordyn, both at home, a sister, Carole Gress and partner William White, Moscow, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Gail Mecca.

A funeral service will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Hamlin Assembly of God, 613 Easton Turnpike, Lake Ariel, to be celebrated by Pastor James Sheridan of the First Baptist Church of Hollisterville. Interment to follow at the Holy Ghost Cemetery, Moscow.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects to Bob at the church on Saturday 11:00a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Louis V. Ciuccio Funeral Home, 145 Moosic Road, Old Forge.
