Richard T. Mineo, 72, of Old Forge, passed away on Saturday at home surrounded by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Lynne Godshall, in December 2024.

Born on November 20, 1953, in Old Forge, he was the son of the late Richard M. and Angela Mancusco Mineo. Richard was a graduate of Cathedral High School’s Class of 1972 and a graduate of York College. He was the owner of the former Mineo’s Brewers’ Outlet, Dunmore where Rich worked with his wife, Lynne and brother, Tom. He was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge.

Richard is survived by a son, Richard, and a brother, Thomas Mineo, Old Forge.

After a long career in international sales, Rich returned to Old Forge to help with the care of his father. He and Lynne set down roots in Old Forge where they created a home and a new life.

Rich and Lynne enjoyed vacationing in Florida and Hilton Head where they spent much of their time boating and golfing. Rich was an avid golfer, who even after being severely disabled, built back the ability to golf every week. It was likely his love of the game and the relationships he and Lynne came to enjoy at Glenmaura National County Club that helped him to such a remarkable recovery. The loss of his wife in December left him heartbroken.

To honor Richard, a Blessing Service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Louis V. Ciuccio Funeral Home, 145 Moosic Road, Road, Old Forge, to be celebrated by the Rev. Walter E. Jenkins CSC, Pastor. Interment Old Forge Cemetery.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects to Richard at the funeral home on Saturday 11:00 – 1:00 p.m.
