Joseph R. Riviello Jr., 71, of Old Forge, died Saturday at home.

Born in Old Forge, he was the son of the late Joseph “Pep”Sr. and Florence Tenelly Riviello.  He was a graduate of Old Forge High School and became a medic in the United States National Guard.  He was a co-owner of Moosic Auto Sales and had a great passion and love for classic cars and race horses.

Joseph is survived by three daughters, Kimberly Eriksen, Christine Riviello and Lindsey Fortese, two grandchildren, two sisters, Virginia Panko and Kay Gray, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Patrick Perfilio.

At the request of the family, no public viewing will be held.

A mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. by the Rev. August A.Ricciardi, Pastor, at the Prince of Peace Parish – St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church, 123 West Grace Street, Old Forge.  Those attending are kindly asked to adhere to the Covid-19 safety guidelines of wearing a mask and socially distancing.  Interment immediately will follow at the Old Forge Cemetery.
