Joseph A. Lettieri, 72 years old, of Old Forge, died at Geisinger CMC, Scranton. He was the partner of Rosalie Semenza.
Born on January 14, 1953, in Old Forge, he was the son of the late Anthony J. and Anna M. Kreseski Lettieri. Joseph was a graduate of the Old Forge High School’s Class of 1970 and a graduate of the FAA Flight School. Prior to retirement, he was employed as an air traffic controller. He was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge.
Joseph was an avid train enthusiast and would follow and watch train patterns all over the country. He would also check airplane schedules and departures to the extreme. He was devoted to his five cats; Georgie, Maxwell, Finnius, Joey, and Shamis. He took loving care of them. He also took good care of all the feral cats and birds in his neighborhood. He enjoyed having his friends over for coffee and discussing sports, especially the Phillies.
A memorial service will be held at a time to be announced.
