John S. Bartnikowski

John S. Bartnikowski, Jr., 77, of Duryea, passed away Saturday at home surrounded by his loving family.  He was married to the former Phyllis DiPipi.  The couple celebrated their 51 ^st wedding anniversary on June 30, 2024.

John was born on July 13, 1947, in Duryea.  He was a graduate of the former Duryea High School.  Prior to his retirement, he was an autobody repairman. He was ASE certified in body, framework, and paint and worked in that industry for over thirty years.

John absolutely loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing, camping, and racing. The greatest joy of his life was when he was watching his grandsons and great nieces play sports.

In addition to his wife, Phyllis, he is survived by a son, John Bartnikowski, III, and his wife, Kimberly, of Old Forge, a daughter, Tracy Bartnikowski, Duryea, two grandchildren, Andrew, Jake, nieces, nephews, and great nieces.

At the request of John’s family, funeral arrangements will be private at the convenience of the family.
