JOHN J. RUSSO, 88, of Old Forge, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Hospice Community Care, Dunmore. Born in Old Forge, son of the late Joseph and Dora DiAndriola Russo, John graduated from Montrose High School in 1942. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, becoming a staff sergeant in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge.
Funeral services at 10 a.m. Friday in Prince of Peace Parish, St. Mary's Church, West Grace and Lawrence streets, Old Forge, with interment in Old Forge Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to Louis V. Ciuccio Funeral Home, 145 Moosic Road, Old Forge.
