Eugene R. Cichy

Eugene R. Cichy, 95, of Old Forge, died Thursday at the Regional Hospital. He was married to the former Clementine Cerullo. The couple celebrated their 42 nd wedding anniversary.
Born on May 21, 1929, in Old Forge, Eugene was the son of the late Rudolph and Natalie Dubernas Cichy. He was a graduate of the Old Forge High School and then enlisted in the United States Air Force achieving the rank of Master Sargeant. He was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge.
In addition to his wife, Clementine, Eugene is survived by a brother, Jerry Cichy, California, nieces, and nephews.
To honor Eugene, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Prince of Peace Parish, 123 West Grace Street, Old Forge, to be celebrated by the Rev. August Ricciardi, Pastor. Interment Old Forge Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects to Eugene on Friday morning from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. at the Louis V. Ciuccio Funeral Home, 145 Moosic Road, Old Forge.
