Benjamin L. Parlopiano, of Moosic, died suddenly Wednesday at Regional Hospital, Scranton.

Born April 3, 1954, in Scranton, he was the son of the late Leo Parlopiano and Florence Zulkoski. He was a graduate of West Scranton High School in 1972. Ben owned and operated The Parlopiano Insurance Agency in Moosic, where he worked alongside his beloved wife Renée.

Ben was an avid physical fitness enthusiast who greatly enjoyed working out, practicing tai chi and muay Thai in his home gym. Ben was also an accomplished home-chef who loved to create new dishes when entertaining guests. He genuinely loved having friends and family around his table.

Deeply loved and missed by family and friends, Ben is survived by his wife of 48 years, Renée, née Migliacci, Moosic, his son Dr. Brandon Parlopiano, daughter-in-law Sarah Parlopiano, and grandson Leo Parlopiano, Silver Spring.

In honor of Ben, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, at the Prince of Peace Parish, 123 West Grace Street, Old Forge.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects to Ben at the Prince of Peace Parish on Tuesday, June 18, from 9:00-10:00 a.m.
